Pastel workshop: Red Panda (workshop Recording)

Create a Soft Pastel drawing of a gorgeous Red Panda with guidance from Tutor Bethany Y Milam. In this workshop you will learn how to build up layers of colour and texture. Follow the demonstration step by step, using pastel techniques such as blending, feathering, sgraffito and layering. Learn how to create soft fur effects, bright eyes and a shiny nose.

Suggested Materials

H or HB pencil for initial drawing

Soft Pastels

Pastel pencils

Blending stumps or other tools e.g. cotton buds, make up applicators…

Pastel paper (I use Pastelmat)

Bristle brush

Putty rubber

Fixative or hairspray

Scratching tool

Palette knife or similar.

An Apron and something to cover your table with.
