Learn to Draw Hamsters (workshop recording)

Learn how to draw Hamsters using both pencil and coloured pencils with guidance from Tutor Bethany Y Milam.  There will be a step-by-step demonstrations, showing you how to understand the anatomy and build up sketches using simple shapes and then use coloured pencil techniques such as blending, ‘feathering’ and layering up colour, plus lots of drawing tips along the way. There is a extra special furry guest appearance in the second half of the workshop to practice drawing from life. This workshop is suitable for all, including beginners and the perfect way to practice your drawing skills while learning a little about these cute animals. (2 hour workshop recording)

Materials

HB, pencil for initial drawing

2B, 4B pencils (optional)

Coloured pencils

Drawing/cartridge paper or a sketchbook (A4)

Toned Drawing Paper (A4)

Paper blending stump

Erasers (putty rubber, fine tip eraser etc.)

Pencil sharpener

Blender and burnisher pencils (optional)

Embossing tool or another fine, blunt tool for indenting the paper (optional)

Soft brush (optional)

White Gouache Paint / white pen (optional)

An Apron and something to cover your table with.
