Paint a Bue Tit and Fledgeling in Watercolour and Watercolour Pencils (workshop recording)
Create a watercolour and watercolour pencil painting of a fledgling Blue Tit being fed by its parent with guidance from Tutor Bethany Y Milam. Follow the demonstration step by step, using watercolour and watercolour pencil techniques, washes, glazes, feathering and texture techniques. Learn how to use colour, tone, and texture in this springtime workshop. 4 hours and 40 mins of video tuition.
Materials
Reference photo(s) (Printed out).
Watercolour Paints (I use Winsor and Newton / Schmincke)
Watercolour pencils or Derwent Inktense pencils (I use Inktense and Koh I Noor)
Watercolour Paper (Cold Pressed, A4, I recommend stretching the paper on board) (I use Arches cold pressed)
Extra paper for testing colours, notes etc.
HB pencil
Paintbrushes (large wash brush, large, medium and small and very small pointed rounds, very small liner)
Palette
Water Pots
Paper Towels/Kitchen Paper
Spray/Misting Bottle (Optional)
White gouache (or white ink / pen) (Optional but recommended)
An Apron and something to cover your table with.
