Two-part Animal Drawing Workshop (4 hrs + of tuition) plus PDF of slides and references

Create a coloured pencil drawing of a stunning Pheasant with guidance from Tutor Bethany Y Milam. Working over two sessions, you will build up layers of colour and texture to create a realistic portrait of a Pheasant with iridescent feathers. Follow the demonstration step by step, using coloured pencil techniques such as blending, feathering and layering.

Materials needed:

H or HB pencil for initial drawing

Coloured pencils

White Drawing paper (A4)

Paper blending stump

Erasers (putty rubber, fine tip eraser etc.)

Pencil sharpener

Indenting or embossing tool

Colourless Blender pencil (optional)
